{"id":8179,"date":"2024-08-20T12:28:25","date_gmt":"2024-08-20T18:28:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/csuca.org\/?p=8179"},"modified":"2024-08-21T12:27:35","modified_gmt":"2024-08-21T18:27:35","slug":"taller-de-intercambio-de-conocimientos-inclusion-y-equidad-en-los-procesos-de-innovacion-en-centroamerica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csuca.org\/en\/taller-de-intercambio-de-conocimientos-inclusion-y-equidad-en-los-procesos-de-innovacion-en-centroamerica\/","title":{"rendered":"KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE WORKSHOP: \u201cInclusion and equity in innovation processes in Central America\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"8179\" class=\"elementor elementor-8179\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-868be24 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"868be24\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-f912f59\" data-id=\"f912f59\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4e27384 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4e27384\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Central America, August 14, 2024<\/p><p>As part of the implementation of the regional project \u201cStrengthening Inclusive Science and Innovation Systems in Latin America through a Collaborative Network\u201d, coordinated by the Central American Higher University Council (CSUCA) and funded by the International Development Research Centre of Canada (IDRC), the knowledge exchange workshop \u201cInclusion and equity in innovation processes in Central America\u201d was held with representatives of the 16 research consortia that are currently being implemented within the framework of the first public call for collaborative research project proposals.<\/p><p>One of the main areas of focus is the approach to and implementation of \u201cInclusive Innovation with a Gender Equity Focus.\u201d In this regard, the CSUCA-IDRC regional project has undertaken actions to encourage, remind, promote, and generate resources so that collaborative research projects incorporate these elements of innovation as a key factor in the design and implementation of each consortium.<\/p><p>The Workshop highlighted the efforts of the projects&#039; research teams to promote actions that combine a diversity of aspects such as convictions, epistemological perspectives, methodological challenges, among other elements developed with the different social actors and people who participate in the innovation process, recognizing the importance of working on inclusive innovation and inclusive innovation with a focus on gender equity.<\/p><p>The focus and depth of the work on both topics varies considerably among the 16 projects. It is within this context that the CSUCA-IDRC Project considers the current progress made, creating a favorable environment for the exchange and collective development of knowledge among the research teams.<\/p><p>The exchange carried out during the Workshop has allowed the sharing of methods, practices used, as well as the strengthening of teams through the exchange of experiences, and at the same time, documenting and systematizing the learnings in inclusive innovation and inclusive innovation with a focus on gender equity of the CSUCA-IDRC Project, achieved up to this point.<\/p><p>Both the results of the Workshop and the expected results of the projects will contribute to the construction of conceptual and methodological frameworks to address inclusive innovation with a focus on gender equity from practice in the Central American
