The reception of summaries of presentations, workshop proposals and infographics will be open until June 15, 2022
The Disaster Risk Management Subcommittee of the National Council of Rectors (CONARE) and the National Commission for Risk Prevention and Emergency Attention (CNE) invite the V National Congress on Disaster Risk Management and Adaptation to Climate Change, which will take place on October 19 and 20, 2022, under a bimodal modality.
Registration for Participate will be from March 21 to August 31, 2022 and the reception of summaries of presentations, workshop proposals and infographics will be open until June 15, 2022.
The Congress will be held under a bimodal and free modality, predominating virtuality and providing some face-to-face spaces, indicates the organizing committee.
The objective of this meeting is to generate spaces for dialogue, exchange of experiences and generation of knowledge for the strengthening of governance and governability in disaster risk management of the actors of the National Risk Management System in the face of new challenges.
The main thematic axes that will be addressed are the following:
- Governance and Governance in Disaster Risk Management and Adaptation to Climate Change.
- Risk modeling and climate scenarios (multi-hazard and systemic perspective).
- Financial management of disaster risk.
The Congress convenes people who make up the National Risk Management System of Costa Rica (Central Administration, Decentralized Public Administration of the State, the private sector and organized civil society) and interested parties.
