Central American School for the Conservation of Cultural Assets and Museology
?In Central America there is a great wealth, diversity and breadth of assets that make up the cultural and natural heritage, which have characteristics of originality, singularity, authenticity and exceptionality. Heritage is constituted as one of the strategic potentials for the development of the region and is one of the fundamental elements of national and regional identity.
However, it is seriously threatened, is little known and is exposed to gradual loss due to constant predation, illicit trafficking, deterioration, inexperience and the lack of technical and scientific capacities that allow its knowledge, protection and dissemination. Faced with this, the offer of higher education in the region is still very limited, incomplete and, in addition, requires the development of appropriate criteria and methods. to the particular characteristics of each of the countries and their cultures.?
