As part of the importance of publicizing the progress of the activities carried out by the Regional Student Life System, the first extraordinary session corresponding to this year is held by the Regional Student Life Council, again counting on the representation of the University of Belize, after a long absence from SIREVE.
After verifying the quorum and approving the agenda, the activity progress reports have been presented, including the the XVII Delivery of the Rubén Darío Regional Award for Academic Excellence on October 28, as well as the planning of the IV Meeting of Health Promoting Universities, organized by the universities of Honduras, in a hybrid format for November 9, 10 and 11 of this year.
Likewise, the organization of the VI Central American and Caribbean Volunteer Meeting was discussed, which is being organized by the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo -UASD-, which is estimated to take place from December 1 to 4.
On the other hand, they discussed the opportunity to develop the biennial multisport competition, with the purpose of promoting sports in public universities in Central America and the Caribbean, JUDUCA, for the year 2023, holding the first congress on August 17 and 18. of 2022. Thus, resuming sports activities after the global situation that has been experienced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Finally, the council reiterated to meet regularly on October 26 and 27, in order to follow up on the activities described above.
