Today, the 52nd General Assembly of the Central American System for the Evaluation and Harmonization of Higher Education -SICEVAES- was held, with the purpose of working on the follow-up of the strategic objectives, corresponding to program 3 of the V Plan for Integration Regional Office for Higher Education in Central America and the Dominican Republic -PIRESC V-.
?Higher education is projected to new dimensions, access to open knowledge generates new opportunities for science, mainly for the progress of our region? said Carlos Alvarado, Secretary General of CSUCA.
For her part, Juana Machado, President of SICEVAES indicated ?It is necessary to promote learning strategies in the social context in which we live today, fostering creativity, entrepreneurship, among others?.
Within the actions managed for said assembly, Alberto Mora, Research Coordinator of the State of the Region Report, presented the conference ?Sustainable Human Development in the Region, Opportunities and Challenges? mentioning that ?The development of our region seen as a set of dynamics and actions that help us achieve the aspiration of living decent lives, through regional integration. The State of the Region report is a citizen tool to find solutions to our problems?
After 5 hours of work, the objectives proposed for the work session were achieved, completing a specific route for the fulfillment of the third program of PIRESC V, from SICEVAES.
